Fire Prevention

Fire prevention is the primary goal of the Fire Marshal's Office. This is accomplished through education, engineering, and enforcement. Through fire inspections and building plans review, we are able to ensure that our buildings are up to code and that our citizens and visitors of Red Bank can safely enjoy our local establishments.

The City of Red Bank currently enforces the International Fire Code, 2018 Edition.

Public Education

One of the most important functions of the Fire Marshal's Office is public education. Educating the public on how to prevent fires before they occur can stop tragedy in its tracks. Likewise, education in what to do in the case of emergencies can help to reduce loss or injuries in the events we cannot prevent. Throughout the year, we perform public education at city events, schools, churches, businesses, and anywhere else that will allow us a few minutes to talk about fire safety. If you are interested in holding a public education event, please contact the Fire Marshal.

Fire Investigation

The Fire Marshal's Office is responsible for the investigation of all fires occurring in Red Bank. Our investigators perform initial cause and origin investigations and work with our law enforcement partners to investigate all suspicious and intentionally set fires.
