Forensic Mapping System

Topcon, GPT-3007W

The Red Bank Police Department uses the latest technology in Forensic Motor Vehicle Crash and Crime Scene Mapping. The Topcon, GPT-3007W, was purchased through the assistance of federal grant funding and officers have received specialized training on the multiple uses of this equipment. The equipment allows officers to accurately diagram motor vehicle crash sites and crime scenes in a timely manner. As a result, it is used by both the Traffic and Major Crimes Divisions of the Agency. The diagrams produced by the equipment aid in investigations and prosecutions associated with those cases.
