The Mission of the Public Works Department is to effectively maintain and develop public infrastructure and facilities, and to provide services to the public to achieve common social, economic, and environmental desires. Public Works takes a proactive approach to preserve and enhance the City for future generations.

Services Provided

The Department of Public Works delivers a variety of services that Red Bank citizens rely on daily. Responsibilities include the City's infrastructure, its design, construction and maintenance, the City's storm water system, the collection and disposal of trash, brush, recycling, as well as parks maintenance and operations.

  • Parks and Recreation - Responsible for operations and maintenance of City parks
  • Building and Zoning 
  • Streets
  • Garbage - Responsible for trash collection, brush collection, bagged yard waste collection, leaf collection, and bulky trash collection.
  • Recycling
  • Stormwater Management - Responsible for stormwater related issues within the City
  • Codes Enforcement - Responsible for the enforcement of City Codes in relation to high grass, abandoned vehicles, and all Red Bank Municipal Codes
